At a grand gala event recently, Samsung unveiled its new smartphone – Samsung Galaxy S4. Samsung Galaxy s4 added a lot of power packed features while retaining some of most appreciated options of its previously successful Samsung Galaxy s3.
How has Samsung Galaxy S4 improved on hardware front?
Samsung Galaxy 4 has placed itself ahead of all its competitors, even the most coveted ones like iPhone look lame. Galaxy S4, the brand new smartphone runs on Android 4.2. Jelly Bean , has made vast improvements in hardware over Galaxy S3,introduced many path breaking features to set itself apart from the rest.
Galaxy S4 externally looks the same as Galaxy S3. On closer look one would notice the large screen of 5 inches. S4 comes with higher resolution of 1080p, higher capacity of 2600mAh, high speed processing (1.9GHz quad-core or 1.6GHz octal-core), and camera- rear facing up to 13 mega pixels and front facing up to 2 mega pixel.

This time round the Galaxy smartphone has included several features from Samsung Galaxy Camera such as several scene modes, on-screen mode dial, 12 different shooting modes.
In Galaxy S4, scrolling through the websites has been made very simple, just requires you to tilt your phone and there you are on the next page.
The Smart Pause feature lets you control the screen with the blink of your eyes. The video stops and starts when you are looking at the screen and automatically stops when your face is turned the other way.
Air View feature requires you to just hover your finger to preview your email or video or image, calendar events, speed dial among others. You could use special apps to combine with this feature to hover over a tile to view the articles that lie beneath.
Group Play is one of the collaborative features. You can share music, photos, documents, and player multiplayer games by connecting to other GS4 users. Your phones could act as a surround sound music system too and all of you could play the same music together.
With more and more people turning health conscious, the S Health feature is a very good gift from S4. You phone can act as a calorie-counter/pedometer through the S- Health. It uses the phone sensors to track your steps, jogs, hops, jolts, snacks, and perspiration.
Translation is made easy with S Translate feature of Galaxy S4. You can translate your email or text messages into one of nine different languages with text and voice translation. This feature allows you translate speech-to-text and text-to-speech too.
This is designed for the navigation while driving. The in- built navigation system recognizes voice command and can make calls, send messages and check weather conditions too.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is truly a high-end phone with a plethora of features both on the hardware and software end. Some of them are essential while others may not be put to constant use. Galaxy S4 is slated to be released in the American market in April followed by other countries in May. Samsung has not quoted the price yet but it’s bound to be comparable with Galaxy S3.
